My brothers were really into Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos. They’ll try to deny this in the comment thread, but it’s true. I remember being almost 12 and wanting instead to watch In Living Color, because that show was the talk of my sixth-grade class, but my parents wouldn’t let me. Racism? Probably. But they also wouldn’t let me watch The Simpsons, either. (Though I was allowed to buy MC Hammer’s album; LL Cool J, not so much.)
